Great Improvements Coming to Off Broadway!

The Off Broadway Board of Directors is happy to announce the receipt of a $500,000 grant from DHHS and the ARPA Home and Community. We would like to thank Nancy Ferguson for helping write the grant, Paul Brungard for helping with the design, and Jodi & the staff for their input. The grant will provide for an addition and remodeling of the facility. This will enable Off Broadway to add more services for the residents and community.

 We will be adding:

• A Gathering Room, which will allow private dining experiences with family and friends;

• An Activities Room with a full kitchen, which will include a nutritional center Clinic Room where additional services will be added;

 • A New Medication Room with a private nurse's office;

 • A Fitness Room for the residents; and

• A new ice cream parlor for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.

We will also be able to update the Large Dining Room. This grant will help us improve the quality of life for our residents and give them even more opportunities to remain independent and self-sufficient. We are hoping for completion of this project in the fall of 2024.

We are looking for certified contractors for this project. If you know someone who would be interested, please have them call Jodi at (308) 872-2522. This is very exciting for Off Broadway Apartments!

Hello everybody! It's Teri. Today I have decided to share my favorite Rhubarb Pie recipe. Hope you can try it! Let me know how it turns out for you! Have a happy Memorial Day:) Ingredients: 3 cups of chopped rhubarb 1 1/2 cups of sugar 2 eggs 3 Tablespoons of flour Directions: Stir together the rhubarb filling. Dump in your unbaked crust and place a second crust over the top. Crimp the edges of the crust. Cut some steam slits in the top crust and sprinkle with white sugar. Bake for ten minutes at 425 degrees. Turn oven down to 350 degrees and bake an additional 35 minutes.........ENJOY! I have a really good bottom crust recipe that doesn't need rolled out. If you would like it, let me know and I will post it. Teri
